Q. Will I be employed by Party Pets?

No - you will remain an Independent Consultant distributing Party Pets products. Your acceptance to become a Party Pets Consultant will be subject to you accepting our terms and conditions as outlined in our Consultant agreement form. You will be considered self employed and will be required to supply an ABN.

Q. How do I make earnings from being a Party Pets Consultant?

As with most party plan businesses, you are rewarded depending on the sales you make. You, as the Consultant, place your order for goods sold, and then we invoice you for the amount less your Consultant discount - the money you make is the difference between the selling price and the Consultant price. As with any new business venture, we highly recommend that you consider taking advice from an independent financial advisor with regards to you own tax and/or financial situation.

Q. How do I qualify to become an Independent Party Pets Consultant?

In order for you to qualify as a Consultant you need to do the following:
- Contact Party Pets by emailing in the completed initial Expression of Interest form
- Host your own Party Pets Presentation (subject to Consultant availability)
- Book your first five parties
- Order and purchase your Presentation Kit
- Undergo your training and conduct your five training parties

Q. Why do I have to book 5 parties to qualify to get started?

There are two reasons for this:
Firstly, we are offering you the opportunity to purchase the Consultant Start Up Kit at a heavily subsidised special consultant rate. We need to know that you are purchasing the kit to use for the purpose it was intended for.

Secondly, we want to help you on your path to success - by having your first 5 parties booked, you are well on your way! These parties are used to help train you and also to springboard further bookings for your new business.

Q. What if I don't know where to get party bookings from?

We will provide you with lots of information and tips to help you get started. Everything you need to know will be in the extensive Consultant's Training Manual and of course your manager will be there for support and assistance. Many Consultants will enlist the aid of family and friends to host their first few parties.

Q. I have never sold anything before! Will I be able to do this?

Well, if you love animals, enjoy being social and you are happy and excited about our range, then you are well on your way to having all the skills that you need! We will provide you with a detailed manual providing a guide to everything you need to know about hosting a party, full of tips, hints and information. Also, you will always have a manager on hand to speak to and who will provide ongoing support and training. We do recommend you have some computer skills and are able to manage some paperwork.

Q. Do I need any particular tools or equipment?

Most of the tools and equipment you will require are things you already use on a daily basis. The essential are: your own transport to get to and from your parties and to transport your sales kit. A computer for doing your ordering and accessing the information on the Party Pets site and a mobile telephone so that customers and bookings can contact you. A diary is necessary for keeping your bookings and business in order and a small home office space in your home would be useful.

The most essential tool is to have a genuine love of animals and a real desire to help their people find the perfect products for them.

Q. Are there different options or levels I can join at?

Yes - there are various level options available regarding becoming a Consultant.

Catalogue Consultant: Our most basic option, this allows you to sell via the catalogue/website and earn a flat commission rate. This option is best suited for those who want to purchase products for their own pets at the discounted consultant price and to sell to friends, family and neighbours.

Full Consultant: This option is for those wishing to sell via all options, including catalogues, website and in home parties and to have all the benefits of a full Consultant. This option offers the best potential for earnings and also provides additional benefits - from getting a Party Pets email address through to higher levels of commission earnings and creating Manager status.

Within the range of Full Consultant, there are three different start kits available:
- Corgi (smallest starter kit)
- Labrador (medium starter kit)
- Great Dane (largest starter kit)

The Full Consultant Starter Kits (Corgi, Labrador, Great Dane) all allow the Consultant full benefits, however the larger the kit, the more "value for money" it becomes as the starter kit items are very heavily discounted. Although you will certainly be able to "grow" your kit over time with our heavily reduced kit item prices, the larger starter kits offer the most value for money and additionally give you the most impressive display to show your guests!

Q. Which option or level would be best suited for me and what are the benefits?

All of our Party Pets Consultants enjoy great benefits - not only do you get to purchase your own pet products at heavily discounted prices, but you also earn great commissions for your sales.

However, our Full Consultants gain more in benefits as they are generally producing larger bulk sales (eg, an in-home party can earn a good lump commission as opposed to taking several catalogue orders) and also our Full Consultants can earn larger commissions as they meet or exceed monthly targets. In addition, our Full Consultants get extra benefits such as a Party Pets email address and they can become Managers in their area (eg, build a team of Consultants and earn commission from their sales)

Q. What is my start up cost and what do I get?

Your start up kit is filled with a range of exciting Party Pets products for you to display at your presentations. These are not samples - they are the actual products available to your customers. You will be eligible to purchase these products at heavily subsidised special consultant rates. In addition to your display products, you will receive all the paperwork you need to conduct and promote your business. Further to this, you will receive the comprehensive Party Pets Consultant Manual which includes everything you need to know...and more!

There are several different kits for you to choose from, which vary in price accordingly:


Full Consultant / Great Dane Kit: This is the most extensive of our kits and includes a massive assortment of products - items to represent all categories of our product range. It will give your customers the best range of items to test and try. Kit Price: $800 (inc GST) + Freight

Full Consultant / Labrador Kit: This is the most popular kit and includes a large assortment of products - most categories of our product range are included. It will give your customers an excellent overview of our product range and plenty to view and try. Kit Price: $550 (inc GST) + Freight

Full Consultant / Corgi Kit: This is a smaller version of our kit and includes several of our product lines – enough to give your customers a basic understanding of our quality and the variety we have available. Kit Price: $300 (inc GST) + Freight

Catalogue Consultant / Chihuahua Kit: This kit does not include products however does include all your paperwork needs including a Training Manual, Order Forms, full professional catalogue and all the other forms and paperwork you will need plus naturally the right to promote and sell our range via Catalogues and Website. This option is best suited to those that simply want to purchase their own discounted pet products and sell to family, friends, colleagues and neighbours. Kit Price $99 (inc GST) + Freight
